MANCHESTER UNITED and Real Madrid have met Lazio chiefs over Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.
The Serbian international, 23, has caught the eye of the European giants after his stunning form last season.
And Italian newspaper Il Messaggero claims both clubs stepped up their pursuit by entering talks on Friday.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare have met with Milinkovic-Savic’s agent to discuss the midfielder’s future.
The Serie A outfit are likely to demand upwards of £120million to let their prized asset leave.
And the huge price tag could hand Los Blancos an advantage as United have already splashed out £52m on Fred.

Milinkovic-Savic was a shining star in Italy last season, finishing as the top-scoring Serie A midfielder with 12 goals.
He then played every minute of Serbia’s World Cup campaign but crashed out in the group stage.
After the tournament, the powerhouse claimed he needed time to rest before making a decision about his plans for next season.
Milinkovic-Savic insists he will be happy to stay in Rome should no acceptable offer come in – handing his employers the upper hand in negotiations.
